Scott 16A
#16

I don't think that any of these Scotts would require using 6L6GCs, especially the pre war models, I think that they used either 6L6 or 6L6Gs, so you can use the common and cheaper Soviet surplus Reflektor or Svetlana made 6P3S tubes in these, or just get good used American tubes.

This is a 1947 16A. It may have been designed when EH Scott was still there, bur by this time he had left the company, and the company was no longer EH Scott, just Scott. The 6L6's that I'm using are actually the Solvtek 6L6WGC. The photofact info does indeed call for 6L6Gs. I used the Solvteks because I had them. I going to see if I can find the characteristics of the 6L6WGC (Solvtek also listed 5881 on the box.)

I am pretty sure you don't have to change anything if using any glass 6L6 tube.

People who do not drink, do not smoke, do not eat red meat will one day feel really stupid lying there and dying from nothing.

The 6L6GC will work fine in that circuit. It will perform as if it was a 6L6G with lower plate voltage and output than the max for a 6L6GC.
