Philco G1909S Need info to help with Restoration
#16

So last night I finished recapping the amp in my G1909S.  I ran it last night for about 40 minutes and did not have any apparent issues.  I did not see C40 or C41, but today I noticed them on the wiring diagram as line filters on the AC supply.  I guess I should go back in and replace those.  I left the 3 part caps in place and disconnected them and added new electrolytics underneath.  I am new at this, so my work is not as pretty as what some of you can do.  But it the amp worked when I plugged it in, so I consider it a success.  Now I need to try and get the radio receiver working.  Is there any service I should be performing to the record player?  Thanks for all your help!!

Clean and lube moving parts, check for hard, worn, out of round rubber parts, if it uses a crystal cartridge there's a good chance it will have low output= replace. If you have the Sam's for it it should have the setup and adjustment info.

I was down in the basement in my dad's

figure out what all those squiggly meant.

Now I think I've got!
