philco 1939 907t rp
#1

hey guys
I have a 907 rp
it is suppose to be wireless .
but I don't see any wire inside like others have inside
I replaced caps but duhh I noticed this one how do I find out what it is
says  30-2202  or 30-2292  I checked it`s dead no value at all
also  their are connectors  # 1 and 2  and red and black
has a radio/ phono switch  tested both no power and used pm speaker nothing
I should hear some thing around 55.1 for wireless
sorry but their is no schematic  for it

I found a 30-2292 in the '36 parts catalog. It's listed as a 12mfd @450v. Didn't list the 30-2022. Where is it connect??
> used pm speaker nothing
Not surprising it only makes rf no audio.
Measure the voltage from pin 8 of the 6X5 to chassis. Should see 150-200vdc.

Ok if it's on pin 8 of the 6J5 the voltage is low there like <20v. Doesn't require a 450v unit. The high voltage is working so let have a look at pin 3 of the 6J5, pin 3 of the 6K7 and pin 4 of the 6K7. All of these should have some hv present. Would check the oscillator coil for continuity. It probably has 4 connections  with 2 winding so two pairs should have continuity.

Voltages look good and there where their suppose to be.
The coil, is it connected to the 6K7 or the 6J5?? To me it
would make sense to be connected to the 6K7. Just wanted
to check. What's the voltage on the 6K7 cap? Should a
little -.
We also don't know what frequency it's tuned to, it may
be working but your not listening for it @ the frequency
it's transmitting on.

Happy hunting!!

>Is their some place I can connect a wire for antenna?
Would look for a connection from the coil over to one of screw terminals on the bottom. It also could be a connection from the coil thru a small cap to one of the screw terminals.
