Here is a picture and video of my philco 20 I just completed.. Looks OK for a 80 year old radio.. I did nothing to cabinet except Go-Jo treatment..

PS Grill cloth is not Green The Phoresent lights make it look so..

That cabinet is in nice shape - good that it cleaned up with just Gojo. Icon_thumbup

How does it sound? Is it the same speaker as the cathedral 20?

Those use exactly the same speaker as the Philco 20 "Baby Grand", so it they have not been reconed, or have not had the original solid disk spider replaced they will be deaf at the high end.
Technically they are a "consolette", which was tready for a few years back in the early 30's, I have a C.G.E S-42A (an updated model S-22) from 1932 that is similar in concept. Unlike it's sister models they made a tighter fitting cabinet without the acoustical chambers in the bottom next to the speaker, not much dead space inside at all for a floor model cabinet.

Very nice but I have to be nit picky... You should tighten that cloth...
It will do the radio much more justice..

Whiskey Rayon always looks green in pictures for some reason.

I have used that whiskey rayon also, for my 48-482 To get a picture that looks the way it does in real life you need to get the proper lighting. Fluorescent bulbs seem to be the worst offenders. Here are 2 pictures of my radio that show the difference. First is with bad lighting:

This is with better lighting and looks the way it really does:

You can see the difference the lighting makes to the picture.
