Old Philco Portable Radios
#1

Does anyone know if anyone still produces the fabric or material that was used on Philco portable radios with the carrying handle on top? I have come across one and the fabric material is shot on it. Or any suggestions. Thanks much in advance.

Seems like I've seen similar material, intended for vintage guitar amps, in the Antique Electronic Supply catalog?

I don't know if this will help, but, this is the contact information for Cayce Vintage Sound Company- they specialize in coverings: cavisco AT aol DOT com (no website that 'm aware of)

I know they carry leatherette- I have their samples for my Z-word Trans Oceanic, and it seems like good quality material. I just don't know what is on the radio you have, exactly, but they might be able to help, or at least point you in the right direction!
