Now I'm afraid I have to disagree, Terry. Medium Walnut is too light to recreate patina on a brass escutcheon. Extra Dark Walnut is nearly perfect for this.

No problem it was a guess on my behalf. I did one but it was a long time ago.
When my pals were reading comic books I was down in the basement in my dad's workshop. Perusing his Sam's Photofoacts Vol 1-50 admiring the old set and trying to figure out what all those squiggly meant. Circa 1966 Now I think I've got! Terry

Bury it in the yard for a few weeks.
That will do it. Just dont forget where you buried it, lol.... Or Ex Dk toner It looks amazing by the way. Times I have been electrocuted in 2021
