41-280 striping
#1

I have a 40-180 and a 41-280.  They both have striping on either side of the grill area.  The 40-180 is a thin angled grain look.  The 41-280 is wider and almost looks like todays camouflage.  My question is does anyone know if these stripes are Photofinish or are they stained?  Any thoughts?

Thanks

The one that looks like camo, is a faux finish, I think intended to look like a burl, the bands on the 40-180 are real.

Thanks Arran  I'm getting ready to refinish the 41-280 and don't want to ruin the faux finish so that info was very timely.  Thanks again

Dick

Is there a reference somewhere where you can punch in Philco part numbers and see what models those parts were used in?Jim Dutridge — 10:17 AM

Hi OSanders, Look carefully at the band switch. Turn it slowly and "wiggle" it around the desired band. ...MrFixr55 — 12:33 AM
