I have a chance to pickup a model 38-4. I really don't have the room, but is this a set worth getting. The price is good, but wondering if it's a good sounding radio. Your opinions are greatly appreciated.

I don't recall how well they sound, but with 8 tubes, a 38-4 should be a decent performer. If I'm not mistaken, the 38-4 has a push-pull output? That will help it to sound better than a smaller radio. (I could look this up, but I'm too lazy to do so right now.) Icon_lol

Yup It's got P/P 6F6's no phase inverter and a rf amp. Boasts 5 watts of audio output. Should be a good performer!
Good luck w/it

Now I think I've got!
