Tuning cap parts
#1

On my 42-380, I'm replacing the grommets around the tuning cap. However, one of the bolts will not come off. Most likely stripped. Anyone have any ideas on how to get it off? I've used everything and it just spins. Also does anyone know if you can get the sleeves around the bolt, either new or repro?

If the bolt is stripped you could just try to grab it with pliers and twist-n-pull until it either comes out or catches the thread.

As for the sleeves, yes I found something that fits in Lowes/Home Depot, in the place where they have drawers with various hardware, there are long sleeves, that I cut in pieces. They are a bit wider but still go in the grommets and fit the job.

People who do not drink, do not smoke, do not eat red meat will one day feel really stupid lying there and dying from nothing.
