Ron, can you post a picture of yours? Maybe several pictures so Steve D. can see them?

What does it do?

People who do not drink, do not smoke, do not eat red meat will one day feel really stupid lying there and dying from nothing.

Mike it has threads on one end that screws onto the control shaft you want to force lubricant into. It has a plunger that you push forward, thus forcing lube past the shaft of the control. To get inside.

So it isn't like the Gozinta.

With the Gozinta, one end is threaded to screw onto the control shaft. The other end was supposed to go into the nozzle of your spray can.

Your Trol Master might work better than the Gozinta, Ron.

Yes kind of like a Gozinta. The tool pulls apart. The small end of the tool threads on to the shaft, then you put whatever cleaner/ lube in that end and put the two halves back together. Then with the plunger on the large end you can force the lube past the control shaft.

Can you still buy it?

Does the Deoxit Fader Lube come in an aerosol can with a straw? I'm thinking simple, like maybe an adaptor to connect an aerosol straw to the control. Any thoughts?

We have pretty much hi-jacked this thread, maybe this discussion should be split off into it it's own.

Yes it comes in cans with straws. Even with two flavours: regular and the rotating holder (can be raised and closed).

Yes, that was how the original Gozinta was designed to work - actually, to replace the straw with itself.

Mike I haven't found anything online about it. It was a tool my dad had from 60 years ago so I'm guessing not in business anymore but who knows!

Found this small advertisement for the Trol in 1956 radio electronics. Go to page 130 lower right hand side. Couldn't find any info on the Columbia Products INC. company.
