Philco 38-690 Volume Control Removal
#1

I was able to remove the control shaft easily. I was going to remove the rear apron but
it is riveted on the left end looking at the bottom. What is the best approach for removing
the volume control for replacement?

Thanks,

It's been two years since I stared mine (Iasted me all summer) so I'm not fresh on it: aren't the pots there being held by nuts?

If you are talking about disassembling the vol pot it's self - don't. Just figure out a way to get a little de-oxit (green label) into the pot - a little.

I recently bought the Trolmaster pump - if you could find one, this is exactly what you need. You will probably still have to unscrew the pot - I am not sure the Trolmaster would fit in there or go through the front.
