Philco Type O24 Signal Generator
#1

Hello, first post.... I have a Philco O24 Signal Generator I recently picked up. I've cleaned it up and ordered another #30 tube since the one in it was dead, the rest of the components seem to be good so should work once I put together a 22-1/2 volt B battery. I see in the old Philco manuals and catalogs that there's supposed to be some kind of spring loaded retainer for the A battery or D Cell which goes into the large hole on the right side of the box. I haven't been able to find a picture of the unit from that side to see what it looked like. Wonder if someone has one or a picture of one with that part in view? Thanks.

Neat! Hopefully someone will have one to help you out.

Thanks, I just came across a PDF of the April 1934 Philco Serviceman which has a side view with the little spring battery retainer thing I'm looking for. It's a little dark being from an old B&W printing but I think I can guess how it's supposed to work though and might be able to make a fairly close replacement.
