Philco at Mammoth Cave National Park

I pulled this from MCNP archives it was taken in 1939. Philco was extremely popular here in south central Kentucky specially the mammoth cave area.

I've been down there, it's 267 feet below ground level. If they got radio reception down there I'd buy everyone lunch. Icon_wink

Philco claimed it picked up stations down there.

The radio might have been underground but I suspect there was a (really) longwire antenna involved. Icon_biggrin
