Does anyone offer a reasonably priced cabinet repair refinish?
#1

Not brave enough to tackle this set i have it is missing a piece of veneer and needs refinished. I am currently looking for someone who can do it at a reasonable price but i don't have a lot of income to throw around. If anyone has a source let me know i would appreciate it.
Here is a video of the set.

The short answer is no. You might have a look here: https://philcoradio.com/library/index.ph...adio_Clubs and see if there are any local clubs maybe someone could give you a hand.

To do the good job it's rather time consuming and laborious. Supplies to start can be a little pricey but you would end up w/enough to do several cabinets. As for the veneer most of us have scrap cabinets w/some damages that aren't worth fixing. These end up being good donors  for veneer especially for small pieces.

When my pals were reading comic books
I was down in the basement in my dad's
workshop. Perusing his Sam's Photofoacts
Vol 1-50 admiring the old set and trying to
figure out what all those squiggly meant.

Now I think I've got!

What Terry said ... plus .... you'll have to add not only the cost of shipping two ways (if it's not local) but also the risk of damage (worse if it occurs on the return trip).

Instead of looking specifically for "cabinet refinishers", maybe look for hobbyist woodworkers in your area?

Fred Taylor a Phorum member does heirloom quality work, and I think reasonable compared to anyone up here.
Email him a photo and ask him about price, he packs very well.

So does Russ, but then he is on the West Coast. Plus I don't know if he does it as a for a fee service.

People who do not drink, do not smoke, do not eat red meat will one day feel really stupid lying there and dying from nothing.
