Swapping IF cans
#1

I have a 46-1226 code 122 that has a bad 1st IF can, part number 32-4106. I was wondering if I coulkd swap it out with a 1st IF from a 41-285, part number 32-4282? The primary and secondary resistances are kinda close but the big problem would be how close the trimmers in the primary are to each other.

Don't think it would be a problem if they are the same frequency and will physically fit the old mounting.

The IF of both the 41-285 and 46-1226 are 455 kc, so I don't see why the swap wouldn't work... Icon_smile
