What size is spkr in the 16B? 8" K spkr or the later 10" H spkr?

When my pals were reading comic books
I was down in the basement in my dad's
workshop. Perusing his Sam's Photofoacts
Vol 1-50 admiring the old set and trying to
figure out what all those squiggly meant.
Circa 1966
Now I think I've got!

it is the 10 inch speaker

Good it's a better match. The 8" spkr has a pretty low vc impedance. I'd swap it.

Full speaker details can be found here in the library:

There's a link to the original complete spreadsheet there as well.

And this is why the output transformer from a 16 console will not work properly as a replacement for a 16B.

Your 16B (10 inch speaker) uses an H-13, which has a 1.25 ohm impedance voice coil. The 16 consoles use a U-2 speaker, with a 2.28 ohm voice coil.

Long story short...you can use the transformer from a U-2 as a replacement, but there will be an impedance mismatch and your radio will be quieter as a result.
