Information of RF Coils, OSC, FI
#1

Good morning to everybody,
On this website and others there is great information on the various electronic components of Philco radios.
But what about radio frequency transformers, oscillators and intermediate frequency transformers?
I have not seen practically any information about it.
Am I right? Or is there some information that I have not been able to find?
Cheers,
Ferran

I'm not quite sure what you are looking. For the most part the coil resistance and the resonant frequency is listed. If you are looking how many turns and wire ga I don't know if I've seem that in any consumer radio manual. Sometimes in military manuals. If you can measure the size of the wire you can calculate how many turns.

When my pals were reading comic books
I was down in the basement in my dad's
workshop. Perusing his Sam's Photofoacts
Vol 1-50 admiring the old set and trying to
figure out what all those squiggly meant.
Circa 1966
Now I think I've got!
