Westinghouse WR-217 Cabinet
#1

Does anyone know the original color of the three strips running around the Westinghouse WR-217 cabinet?
Gold? Yellow? Amber?

Thanks,
Don

Hi Don,

I actually have one of these. The 3 stripes appear to be a very light yellowish brown. It appears that they are painted on, not an inlay. the cabinet is a medium finish (walnut?).

As soon as I figure out how to attach a pic, I will take one and send to you.

Thank you for the input. I was able to closely replicate the original using 1/16 inch gold striping tape.

I actually looked up that radio and I noticed that some of those WR-217 cabinets had that stripe detail and some didn't, yours may have been one of the ones that didn't come with the stripe detail from the factory.
