Looks good, Pete.
I am sure it will sound as good also.

In Ukraine, the level of the epidemic on Kovid 19 is growing again and because of this the quarantine becomes stricter ... So there is more free time for my hobby. The body of Zenith was varnished with 3 layers of nitrocellulose furniture varnish and began the final assembly ...
First of all, I bought decorative antique buttons, very similar to the original handles from Zenith.

The appearance is almost complete ... Icon_rolleyes
Then installed the tuner and amplifier in place. Then it was time to install an automatic record player ... The big problem was that we could not buy the original player from this model of Zenith and therefore had to experiment with selecting the right functionality and size. And then I remembered that somewhere I had a wonderful English player Garrard RS75 ...

This player did not work and had another problem - there was no metal needle of the cartridge with a corundum end. But I managed to repair the player and temporarily install the piezo cartridge.

I also had to design and manufacture a retractable case for this player. Here are some photos from the process of making it.

The body of the turntable is finished and has taken its place in the body of the radio console.
The whole design now looks like this ...

The production of the Zenith case is almost finished, the most interesting thing remains - to equip the bar section in the compartment for storing gramophone records ... Icon_mrgreen
But I will also leave a little space for several gramophone records.  Icon_razz
And so far Zenit has taken its place among my best radio consoles.

Oooo Yes, miss. Icon_razz Heart I have a chassis for the Scott Phantom of this model and I just intend to start making a new body for it. Would you be so kind as to send me drawings with dimensions and photos of the cabinet from all sides?
