How about that. Until now I did not know the muses had names. When I saw "Thalia" I first thought of Thalia Menninger, a character in the first two seasons of Dobie Gillis played by Tuesday Weld.

there is Kalliopa, Klio, Melpomena, Terpsihora.....fogot others. The lates one is responsible for dancing.
Not sure I spelled them correct - I transliterated from Russian versions.

With Melpomena it was easy as the phrase "a server of Melpomene" was used for theater actors as a metonymy. Somehow it was used for all actors, not just tragic ones. And Talia was not.

People who do not drink, do not smoke, do not eat red meat will one day feel really stupid lying there and dying from nothing.
