rare hybrid philco info please: 37-360 cabinent w/ a 37-610 chassis
#1

Hi, this is my 1st post, very glad to be here--- if youd be so kind i really would like your opinions on my radio.....it is clearly a 37-630 cabinent w/ offical sticker to confirm.  shadow meter too......yet the chassis is aboustely 1000% a 37-610 modified to work w/ the shadow meter.

have you ever heard of a philco like this.  is this definetly an aftermarket job, for some reason?  i believe the grill cloth has to be a replacement too.  it is a plastic type thread, very nice and sturdy- aboustely not cloth.  the tubes look like the more modern like "ST"(?) tubes as well, on the power side on the right.  very dusty though, the whole thing- these mods are aboustely not recent.

has anyone ever seen a 37-630 w/ a 37-610 chassis?  thanks so much- great to be here

Hi And welcome,
Can't say that I've ever seen that combination before. A few pics might be helpful in sorting what you have.

When my pals were reading comic books
I was down in the basement in my dad's
workshop. Perusing his Sam's Photofoacts
Vol 1-50 admiring the old set and trying to
figure out what all those squiggly meant.
Circa 1966
Now I think I've got!
