here is another one i need to id philco

i was told this is a philco 38-116 but it has a different cabinet than the one i have and can i get repo speaker cloth for this

I can tell you one thing it isn't that's a 38-116 chassis or cabinet. Will shoot for 38-2.

workshop. Perusing his Sam's Photofoacts
Vol 1-50 admiring the old set and trying to
figure out what all those squiggly meant.

I think Terry is right. I have one like it that i have not looked at in along time. My 38-116 is NOT like that!

The 38-2 used the Philco "Ribbed" pattern originally, mounted vertically (up and down). Not the chevron cloth.

Radio Daze lists their GRC14 which is not exactly like the original, but is the best you can do now.

thank you Ron i have been reading about the 38-690 you have worked on these radios are more complex to work on but i am very impressed with the reception they get when finished my very first try at one of these is the philco 38-116
