46-1209 alignment
#1

Hi all

Curating the radio collection and it's time to refresh the 46-1209 I last touched 10 years ago. Needed a good cleaning and the dial is wildly inaccurate. So I have the nine pages of Riders 15 for this radio and I intend to align it. Problem is, I can't find the index calibration marks on the dial backplate. Am I supposed to make my own calibration marks or something?

And maybe it's the quality of my print but I'm also not 100% sure where all the trimmers C1, C6, C8, C12 and C14 are.

Anyone have any ideas on what I should do about these?

Thanks!
Paul

Have you seen the 46-1209 service bulletin in our library? https://philcoradio.com/library/download/service%20info/yearbooks/1946-1947/split/Part26-Philco%20Home%20Radio%20Yearbook%201946-1947.pdf

Its probably clearer than what you have.

That was exactly what I needed. Thank you very much.

I think that I think it's silly that I have to make my own dial calibration marks, but it works.
