Deforest Crosley model 7D932 completed
#1

This radio was on Kijiji last fall ,and since it was 300 miles away I met the seller half way.

It is a DeForest  Crosley model  7D932
There was a fair bit of wiring that had to be replaced and the tuning system uses a cable that was broke.
After some work I got it all working and installed a new eye tube.
Originally the eye tube was a 6X6 and someone had installed a 6E5.
I had to replace the whole top veneer and I am glad I did rather than patching it.
I really like the dial on this one, because when you change bands,  a lighted pointer lights up and rotates around the dial.
Each band has a different colored pointer.

We finally got some warm weather  so now the cabinet is done.
 Here are the photos.

A very cool radio!

People who do not drink, do not smoke, do not eat red meat will one day feel really stupid lying there and dying from nothing.

A real hum-dinger!
