A few radios I have completed
#1

Once it got warm here in Alberta I got working on these cabinets.
I did the chassis during the winter and finally got these ones done.
Zenith 7S363
 Deforest Crosley  Ritz 9rR1092
 Rogers 10-65
RCA  810K
 Deforest Crosley 7R931
The 10-65 [with legs] had no legs when I bought it,so I bought a highboy cabinet just for the legs.
I cut several pairs of legs, in case I need them

I still have four more in the garage to get done this year.
Enjoy the photos guys.

Yes  I did  all  the cabinets this spring . I started about the first week in May.  I have to get them done while the weather is warm.
Once I have everything set up it is not too bad..
The hardest part is stripping as it does take a long time, but you have to get'' ALL'' of the old finish off.

The best part is when the final coats of lacquer go on
Here is one more that I just completed. it is a Rogers Majestic model 7M621

Beautiful work, Dan. Do you work on multiple cabinets at once or one at a time?
#7

Excellent work Dan Icon_smile

I don't hold with furniture that talks.
#8

I start with one and after it is stripped and stained, I start on another one while the stain is drying.
I let it dry overnight.
I usually have a couple on the go at one time.

Dan

Great job! Very good-looking sets.

People who do not drink, do not smoke, do not eat red meat will one day feel really stupid lying there and dying from nothing.
