Philco G-1707S, RT-150 Tuner, M-41 Record Changer
#1

I have a Philco G-1707S, It uses Tuner RT-150 and also uses Record Changer M-41. I look forward to doing a recap on the tuner and amp.

I found two springs had come off the record changer on mine as was wondering if anyone had any pictures of the Cycling Cam Assembly, Cam Reset Spring so I can get mine back together. I am holding the one that looks like a paper clip and the other is still connected on one end to an arm and laying just next to my hand. An M-41 Record Changer Manual would be incredible but I can't seem to find this available for purchase either. This record changer is also used in Philco Models G-1606 & S, G1808 & S and the SA-2000. I looked at an M-24 Record Changer Manual but there was no similarity. I would be grateful for any assistance offered. Icon_clap - Tom Walker (tcw) - Brownsburg, IN 46112

Looks like I did get a picture while I was still at the place I picked it up! It looks like the looped end goes inside the spring.

Tom,

This is a Voice of Music changer. Looks like my1200 series. The mechanical part is the same.

I have completed one this spring.

I recommend you watch a couple of videos on Youtube, I found a couple of useful ones.

You could buy needles, manuals, lube guide etc.

Thanks for that information. It was helpful. As long as I had this out I serviced it and now that I have it working in auto the idler slips as the record is changing. Any idea which idler this is and where to get one? - Tom

I just figured out that in the picture of post number 2 above, the blue stamped letters 857819121OA, the "857" is the EIA identification number for V-M Corporation. "819" is the date code (changer built 19th week of 1958) and 1210A-105 is the actual V-M model number of the changer. The model numbers are usually a “900” or “1200” series number.

Thanks again for your input morzh.

The website I gave you - Gary restores these. You send in yours and he send you a restored one once he gets yours in. He does mot sell them as a stock item, he exchanges old ones for restored ones.
