Another Steve Davis success story !!!!
#1

After moving all weekend I finally managed to pickup my Steve Davis Philco 43 cabinet from the local Post Office. All I can say is WOW!!!! It is BEAUTIFUL.

Pics to follow when I discover which box my filmless camera has been packed in.

My Philco 44 (early) cabinet will be sent to Steve soon, I enthusiastically recommend you consider Steve if you have a Philco that you would like to turn into a SHOWPIECE!!

I know you're busy with unpacking and all - I dislike moving for that reason, it takes so long to get everything unpacked and organized - but I'm looking forward to seeing pictures of that 43! Icon_smile

Here are a couple of pics. I already have it on display. For a relatively primative 4-band radio (compared to Philco's later offerings) is is a remarkably good reciever on all 4 bands.

Here are a couple of pictures I took before I shipped the cabinet.

Yep! Mighty fine cabinet work, unlike my shaky photography. Funny... the older I get the blurry-er (is that a word?) my photos are.

They have all kinds of "smart" devices out there, what we shaky old people need is a camera with an indicator on it that, in essence, tells you that you are about to take a blurry photo.

I am working on installing a tiny death ray in the currently unoccupied shadowmeter aperture of my Philco 144 cabinet. So when my ex mother in law rides her broom over to my place to spread gloom, I can ask her to turn the radio on and see if the light comes on in the tiny hole above the dial.

Yep. Wimmen. Can't live with 'em, and can't live with 'em.
