37-630 code 121
#1

Hello everyone
I've been away awhile as I have moved and have just now set up my radio bench again.

I could use some help with a 37-630 code 121 chassis alignment.
I have been unable to find the alignment instructions for a newer style chassis.  It has the newer style shadow meter
and the layout of the alignment caps are different than all of the schematics I have been able to find

I have attached a picture of the bottom view of the chassis.  The code 121 instructions refer to alignment caps that are not there.
If anyone has a copy of the schematic with the alignment instructions, it would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Tom

Hi,

Your set is not a Code 121. Later production model 37-630 sets changed the RF unit to one with fewer trimmer adjustments and a different band switch with less "throw" between positions. The Code number also changed.

If your 37-630 has the rectifier tube on top of the power transformer, it is a Code 125. If the 5X4G rectifier is behind the power transformer (on the main chassis), next to the 6F6G output tube, then it is a Code 126.
