Philco 90 part #30 Capacitor can leads
#1

Hello, everyone. I'm working on a Philco 90 (single #47). Part #30 is a metal can multi-capacitor containing a 1.0 uf (black lead), .25 uf (white lead) and .1 uf (green lead). Naturally, all 3 wires and now black, no longer connected to anything and appear to have been cut so their original length is unknown. The schematic identifies locations for 3 capacitors with the part number of "30" but does not reveal which value goes where. How do I determine which is which?

See the annotated early schematic for your version of the 90 (scroll to the 1931 schematics) in our library.  https://philcoradio.com/library/index.php/service-info/early-schematics/

It shows and labels the 3 sections of the #30 capacitor.

Thanks, Bob!

Amazing what a difference a bit of information makes in a project.
