Can you Identify this chassis?
#1

Ok, first time to try to post a picture. This is a Philco 37 or 38, 6xx. The problem is that I can't find an alignment diagram for it. It most resembles from a schematic standpoint a 39-620 but the riders shows a totally different arrangement of the trimmers under the chassis. Hence my challenge, how to align that aspect. It's off on the low end and seems to really need a little touch up. Take a look at the trimmers and let me know where I can find some data to help my adjust this baby. Please?

It's probably a 37-620, Code 125. This model (and the 37-630, codes 125 and 126) has fewer trimmers, as shown in your photo.

I suggest you contact Chuck Schwark and purchase the proper service information for that particular model.

Oh, and there is no such thing as a 39-620 Icon_wink

Sorry Ron, I miss typed as I tend to do. I really wanted to say a 38-620.

OK, a little more information on the chassis, it has a number stamped on the inside of the chassis which reads "38-1655". Does that provide any additional information on the correct model number so I can order documentation from Chuck?

Thanks for any guidance. Jerry

Jerry,

That is the Philco PART number of the metal chassis or sub-chassis it's stamped on.

See the Philco Parts Numbering System info on my site:

Thanks Chuck but I am still clueless as to what to order from you that will give me the proper looking sub-chassis with trimmers as indicated in the picture. Not rocket science, just the proper documentation. Can you help?
