Philco chairside completed
#1

I picked this little gem last fall , and during the winter I did the chassis.
It had all the original Philco tubes, Ron had sent me some safty caps to complete the job.
It has a very clear sound and plays very good.
I just finished the cabinet.    It was all there,  and after stripping  the cabinet I used Grain filler on the top,
then several coats of lacquer.

This is the first chairside i have seem in person, and I think i like it

Hello Dan,
that set looks outstanding it is a really nice design too far as the cabinet goes !
Something like that would look right at home in my Living room .

One of the nicer styles of chair-side radio I've seen. Nice work !!

A 38-15, is it?

People who do not drink, do not smoke, do not eat red meat will one day feel really stupid lying there and dying from nothing.

Yes it is a 38-15.
The radio is actually a little darker than the photos.
Next time I will use a tripod and no flash.
