[split] Realistic STA-225
#16

Hello morzh!

The link you provided is how I originally found this website and I bookmarked it! I was very sad to hear about Ron's passing.

Concerning the insulators, yes, I'm completely aware that they need to be between each transistor and the heatsink, but there were actually two insulators under one of them! As I previously posted, I believe this was just a mistake by the assembler. Being so thin, it was probably easy to pick up two at the same time and not even notice it!

I guess, I misunderstood. I thought there was one insulator under one transistor and none under others.
Two insulators, obviously, don't do any favours to the thermal regime of the transistor they are under Icon_smile

People who do not drink, do not smoke, do not eat red meat will one day feel really stupid lying there and dying from nothing.

It's been a long time since I've done any work on my STA-225. Life, and other projects, just seem to get in the way. I'm currently doing some more work on the receiver right now and will post pictures soon!
