recreating Stamped letter on power transformer
#1

hello guys,
Since the weather was nice I decided to paint the top bell housing of my Power transformer on my Philco 38-10t chassis .
My question is if you look at the picture below there is letter "A" stamped on the cover and I would like add that back on .

My Idea is to use one of those rubber letter stamps , I would like to here your ideas and input.

Sincerely Richard

Why not just use a paper decal and a sponge?

People who do not drink, do not smoke, do not eat red meat will one day feel really stupid lying there and dying from nothing.

That should work. I could remember about 40 years ago seeing ads in various magazines and catalogues for 1965-1973 Ford Mustangs, stamps and the yellow ink for the various inspection stamps under the hood. I think that a letter stamp and Testor's white or grey-white hobby paint, thinned out, should do the trick.

"Let us begin to do good"- St. Francis

hello MrFixr55,
For sure thanks for the tip and Mike yes I did think of that idea too and the train hobby stores have water slides too.

Water slides, however durable (at least used to be), eventually crack and peel.
Good paint, without being rubbed off, will stay indefinitely.
