I have one of these beasties in fairly good shape--except for the cabinet.
As my fellow Philcophiles know, it is SUPPOSED to have photofinish on its front. Once you mistakenly start to 'refinish' the poor thing, all you can do is finish your botch job. There IS no going back and repairing your mistake!!
So what I now have is a rather wan-looking 37-62. And I'm looking to pick the brains of my fellow Philco lovers as to making the best out of it. I'm thinking about doing the front in VDB to hide the PLAIN wood now visible, and to do the rest in medium walnut. Any BETTER ideas??
