42-380 code 121 output transformer
#1

Newbe question.
I have rebuilt a 42-380 Philco console radio, recap, resistors, wires, primary transformer etc. I have done 8 of these radios, mostly Philco."I am not an electronic tech", but just an old retired guy trying to preserve a small part of the past. I have studied these postings on and off for years and found most answers I needed here and I thank you. my question is simple I think, I am in need of an output transformer Philco #32-8120m it reads 0 ohms. I have looked for generic transformers, but I am not smart enough to pick the right one. I have checked for Original stock (used) only to come up empty. I believe this is just an impedience matching devise, but I don't quit understand how it works with only a primary center tapped 3 wire connection. any advise would be appreciated.

What you are looking for is a transformer that is 12K ct primary and 8 ohm secondary.

Now I think I've got!
