39-116 ratchet problem
#1

I'm in the process of attempting to restore a 39-116. I'm not a novice, but I'm definitely not a pro at this. The issue I'm currently having is with the secondary ratchet arm in the relay stepper assembly. It only returns home sporadically after it's released. I've cleaned and wd 40'ed the works, but it's still not operating correctly. Does anyone know if there's an adjustment I can make to lessen the 'friction' (for lack of a better term) it's encountering? Would a new spring help?

Thanks,
Bill

Not aware of any special adjustments. As for the spring, you don't want one too "tight" that it prevents the stepper from operating, nor too "loose" that it jumps around.
