Magnetic Tuning 37-690
#1

I have a copy of the set up instructions for the magnetic tuning in my 37-690, but cannot get it to work properly. I have performed the adjustment several times and still have the same problem. Assume that the station is tuned perfectly with magnetic tuning off, then I turn it on, the station goes out of tune. I have replaced all of the capacitors and resistors in the radio. I took the cover off of the magnetic tuning transformer and performed continuity checks on the windings, and they look good. Voltages look good on the discriminator and magnetic tuning amp, as well as the other circuts. Again, I have read, re-read, adjusted and re-adjusted this several times. Any thoughts on where to go from here?

Hello:

Perform the Adjustment of the Magnetic Tuning Control in the Alignment Instructions section of the schematic diagram. This is available at http://www.nostalgiaair.org/
