Philco Model 048 Tester
#1

I could not pass up the chance to buy this 048 multi-tester but in order to attempt to get it working I need to address the battery issue. It has 2 Burgess #5156 22.5v 15 cell batteries and one #2. I figured out the #2 is a D cell but I am not sure what to do for the the others. Has anyone built this type of battery pack? My main concern is do I use AA, C, D build?
While searching the site I noticed a fellow named Batterymaker...If you are still out there, do you make these or have instructions of the best way how to?

Thanks Everyone!!

Batterymaker (Bill Morris) is very busy right now remodeling his house. It is my understanding that he will no longer be making reproduction batteries that use modern C or D cells and 9V cells inside, but he will be selling the info to make your own.

Give him a shout. batterymaker at gmailspam dot com (remove the spam before sending)

I have the 048 schematic w/ part values, and test procedures.

Use standard order form on my site in Schem. Info page.

Ben,

Your order email from The Philco Repair Bench Schematic Info page has not shown up yet, FYI.

Will watch for it.
