Philco Model 19
#1

Hello all,

In my haste I bid and won a Philco cathedral on Ebay. Can any of you confirm if this is the model 19? Looks like it.

Veneer looks to be all there except for the grill, but that can be dealt with. Other than that, the set looks complete. Speaker may be questionable.

Hi Gary

Yes, that is a 19B. Nice catch. These usually go for much more. The delaminating veneer made it a bargain for you. Good luck with it.

Wow, it's Ron!! I'm sure we're all waiting to hear from you in other spots on the web site, so I'll let this be. Thanks for the comment and good to hear from you.

Does this set have a shadow meter? Looks like, but I see no unit mounted inside. The veneer has peeled, but this looks to be an easy re glueing job at best. Slow bring up on variac shows it's a hummer, but power and no big time current draw.

Again, nice to see you.

Hey Gary,

Yes, the 19B should have a shadowmeter.

Thank you for the kind words.

Ron.
