Philco 50 volume control
#1

I am restoring a Philco 50 low boy. The volume control has been replace by a modern unit with a shaft too short. It is a double volume with one unit in serie with the tap of the other. On the parts list they only give the part number and on the measurement page they only say that from antenna to ground it should be 24 ohms.

The ones in place gives 800 and 13 K.

Someone knows the value of those potentiometer?

Thanks

Fedorat, you can find a schematic for the model 50 here. http://www.philcoradio.com/tech/images/50.jpg It looks like the antenna part of the control is 5000 ohm and the screen grid portion is 1750 ohm. The wiper of one part should not be connected to the other half of the control.
