Dial Cord Question
#1

Hi Guys,

I'm about to attempt to string a new dial cord on my 48-482 and I have one question: what do you use to fasten the ends with the loop?

Thanks,
Eric

Well, mostly a knot and a spring. Make it so the spring creates some tension on the winding. OK to dot the knot with nail polish. Is this a trick question?
#3

I have the spring and a knot just sounded too easy. I did a knot and a dab of super glue.

Thanks,
Eric

I like service cement on the knot myself.

Fun dial cord to string on the 48-482

Hi John,

It wasn't as bad as I thought. It actually works!

Eric,
How did you replace that complicated dial cord?

They originally came with ferrules to set the loop. This is why Eric paused. A loop and a knot is the fix in the field.
