Presenting the Philco 531.

Here are a few pictures of my Philco 531 I just purchased. Possibly one of the lightest late 20's consoles I have ever moved.

I guess you could say this is one of my 'bucket' radios. Three out of the four possible bucket radios for my collection are Philcos of course and this takes one off the list!

That's actually pretty neat! Congratulations on finding one you really wanted!

Best yet, I put it on the bulbs this evening and got some life out of it. It needs work, but all the controls work and I was able to tune in my local station with just a short antenna attached. That is good as it usually means there are no true expensive parts broken. Needs a cord before I use it much in any case.
