New to Philco
#1

Hi.
I live in East Rochester ny.
Retired for sure and sometimes pick up radios and repair them if I can find the parts. I have a 116B that I bought awhile ago and it plays well. the front is alright but the sides I don't think are the right finish.
I read in the restoration that the sides should be van dyke brown and the front medium walnut?
I have never refinished a radio but i would not start with a 116B.
I don't even remember what I paid for it but thinking of trading it for something I am looking for.
I have not seen one in awhile on ebay.
I think I paid $400 for it.
Glad to join.

Thanks for the Welcome.
I posted an ad for a Zenith 10S170 in Craigslist rochester ny collectables and within 2 hrs I sold it for a good price. I had a few more offers for it before I removed the ad and one was a john deere lawn tractor. Now I'm looking for a good Hickok or western electric tube tester.
