More pesky Questions
#1

Looking at the bottom of my 16-B chassis at the 4 bolt-holes, it looks as if there were rubber grommets between the cabinet and the chassis....were there??
I must be driving all the Philco experts beserk, but I have to ask these silly things to become a Philco expert in my own rite! Icon_biggrin

Yes, there were. The chassis mounting bolts in Philco sets were intended to be loosened - even removed altogether in 1935 and 1937 models - so that the chassis could "float" on its gum rubber washers. This was intended to reduce microphonics.

I believe Mark Oppat sells these now?

Thanks Ron! I ordered 24 washers from Mark. 24 might get me through here on THIS resto!
