How to put on "PHILCO" logo?
#1

This might seem like a simple task -- but I'm not so sure. I'm restoring a 53-1750 radio phonograph console. I've completely stripped and re stained and coated with polyurethane clear coat. Looks really good. I want to put back on the "PHILCO" gold lettering logo. I found a picture of someone elses on the internet - see above. How do I do this nice and neat?? Maybe get a stencil set from an art store and spray paint it in gold - OR maybe do it with a gold leaf kit?? DON'T want it to come out like crap !! Thanks people,
Mike

Buy the decal from Radio Daze.

These are lacquer decals, and since you used polyurethane...I don't know how they will come out.

Wow, thanks for the link !! I didn't know those existed. I'll purchase a few of them and try it on the underside first (it is also re stained and clear coated).
Cheers,
Mike
