40-120 Cabinet
#1

I received a 40-120 in the mail today and unlike the other one I recently got, this one is painted a cream (ivory?) color. I didn't strip any of it off yet to see what was underneath, but wondered if Philco had a version of this like the 38-12CI with a painted cabinet. If it's plain white wood underneath, I'm thinking of repainting it with a nice shade of brown. Or maybe covering it with that paper thin veneer I read about - hmmmm...

Hope everyone has a happy new year and only the best for 2008 Icon_smile

Guess I should have looked at the gallery first Icon_redface

They did make an Ivory version...

Yup, the 40-120 was indeed available in lacquered Walnut and painted Ivory... Icon_smile

I have one of the ivory versions. It has some loose veneer. I may get around to restoring it one of these days...
