Philco 40-158
#1

I just received a Philco model 40-158. I'm new to the hobby, but have wanted to restore an old floor radio for some time!! The cabinet is in good condition, but the faceplate is missing. Can anyone tell me where to go to find a faceplate for this particular model? I've looked at a bunch of sites on the net, but fail to find anything. Also, does anyone have a photo of this model that shows the close up views? I have purchased the book by Ron Ramirez...excellent read!! Icon_biggrin

Hi

Unfortunately the only way you are going to find the bezel for your radio is to obtain one from a junk 40-158, 40-160 or 40-165. You might try the Radio Junkyard.

Glad you like the book. It isn't the one I wanted to publish..it is essentially the original 1993 edition with new covers.

Thanks for the help. Are the 40-160 and 40-165 basically the same style radio as the 40-158?

Yes.
