Anyone on here that can refurb synchronous vibrators?
#1

I have a few GE radios with 2V vibrators, and each could use a little refurb. I've worked on them a bit and gotten them to mostly work, but would prefer to have them done properly so they last a good while.

If there is I haven't heard of any, I have a G.E wet cell portable that I got years ago myself and would like to get it going as well. The only thing I have heard of were some anecdotal accounts of the late Curt Reed connecting a 40 watt light bulb in series with the 6 and 12 volt types, most of which are not synchronous like the G.E ones. There is a guy on You Tube using the handle of Shango that seemed to have some success in getting them going, something related to a broken or flaky connection. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VWyaqaWahEE and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PIU4tWy-DB0

Arran
