42-350 antenna
#1

I'm restoring a model 42-350 and doing fine with it except that
the radio was shipped to me with the AM/SW loop antenna detached
from the cabinet. I'd like to get it back in original shape (no improvisation). Can anyone shed some light on how it was originally
secured? Or perhaps a close-up photo?
Thanks,

John Michael

John,
I think this is what you are looking for. The antenna is secured with small nails.

On my 42-327 with a very similar heavy gauge wire loop, the antenna was attached to the cabinet with some shot Phillips head screws.

I've also seen these secured with large thumbtacks.

Thanks for all the replies. Arran, I suspected it might be small Phillips head screws that secured the antenna, as my 48-482, which appears to be a close cousin (or perhaps younger brother) to this radio has the same antenna and is secured with them.
