49-900 Hippo
#1

Found this Hippo on Friday. Cabinet is excellent shape, no chips, scruffs, cracks. Excellent looking. But tag stated " Not Working" but for $18.00, hey Icon_smile. Invetigating, found 7C6 doesn't sit tight in it's socket, will replace the socket. Upon investigating futher, I found a shorting wire, ( for lack of better term ) laying unattached between pin 2 & 5 on the 7C6. This is a stiff wire about diameter of a resistor lead, just lying there. I can't find anything on the schematic. I can't noticed any place where it looks like it broke off. I'm attaching a picture. Pic has tip on pen pointing to this wire. Should I just pull the wire out ? When I replace the socket, I don't want to rewire the 7C6 and find out latter this shorting wire is needed. Any ideas.
Thanks everyone.

Vinzer, so it does go between pins 2 & 5? Thanks for the help.

Vinzer, would that be between pins 1 & 5, not 2 & 4 ? It was just lying there not connected to anything.
Thanks
